John Olaleye

John has spent over 15 years working in sport for development and the charity sectors, with a passion for helping young people unlock their potential. For five of those years, John managed a LifeSkills centre in the East Midlands, building a safe, welcoming space for young people who might otherwise have slipped through the cracks. 

He then went on to lead Leicester City in the Community’s Inspires programme, supporting young people struggling with confidence, self-esteem, and the challenges of mainstream education. Through this work, John has helped many young people rediscover belief in themselves and their futures.

Away from work, John is a lifelong Arsenal fan and can often be found in his greenhouse, where tending to plants gives him a sense of balance and calm.
