ASDA Publicity boosts links with local schools
In July, Jan visited ASDA to collect the money raised through their green token scheme. A friendly welcome and discussion about how ASDA might be able to offer further support preceded the presentation of the cheque. Sadly the large cheque had to be given back and replaced by a more standard one. It would have been fun to go to the bank with the super-sized version.
Not only did ASDA help to raise some funds for the on going costs of the mentoring project, the publicity given by this in store also led to us working in a new secondary school in the area. We have completed three pieces of work there since and are really grateful to ASDA for their support.
